14/06/2013: Art Workshop, "Food for Thought", in collaboration with Hexham Arts Forum and The Hexham Spaces Project, which resulted in a public exhibition at an Empty Shop venue: DELIcious. Working with students from Queen Elizabeth High School, Hexham. - Exciting stuff!

The students have a go at playing shopkeeper at the "Food for Thought" shop... Me and Mary Oswell ex-owner of former DELIcious sandwich shop The exhibition was viewable on-street for a month after the workshop!

21/04/2012: Designed and delivered My Voice workshop called, Pure and Wretched Drawing, at Sunderland City Library and Arts Centre. Working with local families to create 2D and 3D drawings based on a book: "Pure" by Julianna Baggott.

15/12/2013: Voluntary Christmas Arts 'n' Crafts Workshop for Tourettes Action North East in Cramlington. Activities included: 3D cardboard Christmas wreath, choir-singing angels, 3D giant paper snowflakes, decorating cardboard crowns, hand-crafted snowmen.

24-26/05/2013: Designed and Delivered Art Workshops for the 3-Day Tourettes Family Friendship Festival in Northumberland. My sessions included: [Day 1:] Make Your Own Friendship Bracelets! / Create Your Own Teru Teru Bozus!; [Day 2:] Celebrating Me! - A drawing and collage workshop culminating in a collaborative banner! / Make Your Own Decorative Bunting!; and [Day 3:] Make Your Own Pom Pom Creatures! / Freestyle Recycled Sculpture!

COMMUNITY ART WORKSHOPS AS PART OF CULTURAL OLYMPIAD AND HADRIANS WALL TRUST FUNDED PROJECT, CONNECTING LIGHT (2012):

24/07/2012: Designed and delivered a series of 2-3hr Art Workshops (inc. Project Feedback) with groups from Cestria House, Newcastle (Heatherfield Care Group); Gateshead Carers Association, Tyne & Wear; and Newbrough Womens Institute, Hexham. Themes explored: Home, Connections, Boundaries & Place. As part of Cultural Olympiad and Hadrians Wall Heritage funded art project, “Connecting Light” by New York arts collective YesYesNo.

GRUMPY ARTS, SALFORD/MANCHESTER:

10/03/2012: Artists Pui Lee and Lara Norris worked to brief and designed and delivered a workshop to celebrate International Women's Day at The Salford Link Project, in Eccles, Salford. 1pm-5pm. Representing GRUMPY Salford. My project involved creating a big bright and colourful banner with the locals to celebrate where they come from.

...and JUST BECAUSE!:

(26/05/2012): Artist Pui Lee did a big art project as part of the Step Out charity event at Saltwell Park, Gateshead. 10am-2pm. She worked with the local families to create a big field of weird and wonderful flowers. Penguins were also spotted in the park as the artist showed locals how to make their very own penguin! Donations came from the event and from a collection box, which circulated UKTC North East Taekwon-do classes, which Pui is part of. Pui says, "The event was well turned out and I am pleased to say that a grand total of £142.55 was raised for The Stroke Association charity as a result.
